“A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” served up a healthy dose of camaraderie, romance, and redemption – a nice gesture before our hearts, hopes, and dreams shatter next Sunday during S8E3. The 82 minute-long episode, “Lord Snow,” will feature the longest battle sequence in film or TV history. So, start saying your goodbyes now. (Honestly, why do we put ourselves through this?)
But let’s remember the good times and take a look at the most memorable moments from S8E2.
As always, we’re sharing our findings on which characters drew the loudest social media conversations, the moments that almost broke the internet, and the figures who are most loved (and loathed) across the globe.
The Top House ranking stayed consistent with last week’s predictions. (I have a feeling this chart will look a bit different after Episode 3…)
Disgusted, heartbroken, yikes. Yep, sounds about right.
My girl Brienne of Tarth skyrocketed up on the love train, and good ol’ Theon found himself out of the loathed club and into the loved club.
Tormund is still on the loved list, but unfortunately found himself in the loathed pool this week after, ya know, that whole milk thing. Tormund, you dirty dog.
And of course, it’s the memes that get us through these emotional times.
The hunt for Safe-For-Work memes was quite difficult this week due to some good old-fashioned GoT “adult” moments that went down.
To quote Jesse Wade, Sprinklr Individual Outreach Manager, “It’s going to be a delicate grouping of memes this week.”
That it is, Jesse. That it is.

Follow the Throne with us all season long for new data recaps after every episode.
We wish your beloved characters good fortune in the wars to come.
We leveraged Sprinklr Research to analyze real-time data from 25+ social channels and 350 Million web sources.
We aggregated all messages containing (“game of thrones” OR “#gameofthrones” OR “#got” OR #forthethrone OR “#gots8” OR “#gameofthronesseason8” OR “@gameofthrones”). We then applied an additional keyword search to analyze any mentions of the season eight characters and house names. These additional keywords are called “Sprinklr Themes” – allowing you to slice and dice your listening topic mentions, turning unstructured data into structured data.
We organized all of this “big data” by three different charts – the character with the most mentions plus #forthethrone, most mentioned character overall, and most loved/loathed character. This blog post also contains visuals that were powered by our Sprinklr Display product.
All data was gathered in the 24-hour window from 3 pm Eastern, April 21st, 2019 to 3 pm Eastern, April 22nd, 2019.
