The night is dark and full of terrors, indeed! The Long Night brought us a mashup of horror, action, and thrilling battle scenes during the show’s longest episode to date, and the longest battle sequence in the Seven Kingdom’s history of television and film.
82 minutes of heart-stopping suspense left us feeling like Bran coming off a five day Weirwood bender, so let’s take a look at some of the moments the citadel will be writing about for generations to come!
Power is power, and right now the fans seem to forget that the Queen Lannister has 20,000 fresh troops, more than enough to destroy the survivors.
Catspaw got your tongue? Fans were at a loss for words this week, understandably, and had a difficult time getting past one syllable. No judgement, I was speechless too.
“Our enemy doesn’t tire, doesn’t stop, doesn’t feel.” And apparently, the fans loved that about him! Perhaps it’s just the cold hard memories that come with any goodbye, but the people love (and will miss) the Night King!
That being said, the people also hate him. While it’s no surprise to see the guy who wants to murder everything is at the top of the Most Loathed list, Arya stood neck and neck with the Night King for the most loathed character of the week.
Old Nan once said, “fear is for the winter.” Apparently, so is record viewership. HBO reportedly broke their record from the season premier, and it looks like that carried over to the internet!
Your favorite Mormont may be gone, but their memes will burn forever. It’s time to look into the eternal flame at the top memes of the week.

We leveraged Sprinklr Research to analyze real-time data from 25+ social channels and 350 Million web sources.
We aggregated all messages containing (“game of thrones” OR “#gameofthrones” OR “#got” OR #forthethrone OR “#gots8” OR “#gameofthronesseason8” OR “@gameofthrones”). We then applied an additional keyword search to analyze any mentions of the season eight characters and house names. These additional keywords are called “Sprinklr Themes” – allowing you to slice and dice your listening topic mentions, turning unstructured data into structured data.
We organized all of this “big data” by three different charts – the character with the most mentions plus #forthethrone, most mentioned character overall, and most loved/loathed character. This blog post also contains visuals that were powered by our Sprinklr Display product.
All data was gathered in the 24-hour window from 3 pm Eastern, April 28th, 2019 to 3 pm Eastern, April 29th, 2019.
