The rate at which technology has changed the way we consume content is astounding, and yet, here we are again, on the brink of something new.
I’m excited to announce today that Sprinklr now leverages Facebook’s API support of Facebook Live, which means brands can manage their Facebook livestreaming content through Sprinklr alongside their other social content. Clients can schedule, publish, and report on their Facebook Live video, all within Sprinklr.
Here are a few ways brands will benefit from this API integration.
Imagine a customer watching a live adoption event hosted by the Humane Society. They see a dog that’s perfect for them, and they want to ask if she’s comfortable around other animals. They post a Facebook comment or send a tweet to the Humane Society, and within a minute their question is answered by the host as he stands with their potential new dog.
During live events, brands will now be able to use Sprinklr technology to capture real-time fan engagement. Hosts can respond to social comments or questions and shape the direction of their livestream according to viewer feedback, making audiences a real part of the experience.
Since comments are funneled through Sprinklr, brands can sort them in a manageable way, ensuring that the event hosts respond to relevant comments or questions and that less relevant comments are routed elsewhere.
The Facebook Live API will also include the ability to livestream from multiple cameras, which means that brands can create more dynamic and engaging live video content. They can switch between cameras at the same event or even across multiple events, providing a richer livestream experience.
The combined livestreaming capabilities of Sprinklr and Facebook won’t stop when the event ends. Facebook Live videos are saved as a standard video on the brand’s Facebook page once the event is over. Sprinklr clients will be able to see metrics from the live event as well as ongoing engagement with the video after the event, giving brands a complete picture of how their video content performed. This also makes it easier to measure and communicate successes within the context of overall, ongoing marketing campaign reporting.
Brands can then use this insight to optimize their future video campaigns.
