Q: How is Sprinklr unique and different from other companies you’ve worked at?
A: When I joined Sprinklr more than 7 years ago, enterprise social media management software was a niche industry. A unified platform for this was unheard of and there was a niche set of clientele who we were trying to work with. Everything was unique. There was hardly anyone working on solving the problem of managing social at scale, and nobody was thinking about managing customer experiences at scale. Nobody was talking about doing this with a unified platform. No point solutions. No silos. That’s what excited me the most about working at Sprinklr. I could see the potential.
Q: What keeps you excited to work at Sprinklr?
A: A lot of things have changed over the years, in a good way. The excitement of working on something that very few people have worked on, building a platform that very few people have built and getting to work on technology that nobody has even dreamt of yet – this excites me and has kept me excited through the years.
Q: How have you grown your career at Sprinklr?
A: There is a saying in America that ‘It is a land of opportunities, you can become anything you want to be.’ I look at Sprinklr the same way. It is a company that has so many opportunities for everyone. All of us were treated as leaders when we joined Sprinklr. We were never told that we are employees.
Even now when we have so many people joining us, we never look at them as employees. We look at them as potential leaders. That’s what we have always worked towards. The opportunities you get working at Sprinklr, I don’t think you can get that working at big shot companies. Anyone can work on any project, anyone can move to any department, and that’s the best part. There’s so much flexibility to pursue your passion. I’ve never heard of another company that provides these opportunities to evolve and grow.
Q: What’s been the biggest change you’ve seen in your 10 years at Sprinklr?
A: I started working for Sprinklr in 2012 and there were 5 employees in the Gurgaon office. The biggest change is looking at this big crowd of 300-400 people sitting in front of me. The way we have grown exponentially year over year, be it in terms of financial, human resources, each department evolving and being better at what we do every day – that has been the biggest change for me.
Q: What’s one thing you love about Sprinklr’s culture?
A: No politics is what I love the most about Sprinklr culture. At Sprinklr, when we started off, our aim was to make this a fun culture, a culture where there is respect. If you are doing a good job, you will get rewarded for it. It was as simple as that. That is the culture we have pushed for since the beginning. It was always fun and based on merit. You deserve the best if you are doing good. That’s something I have never seen anywhere else.
We treat everyone not as employees, but as a family. That’s more important for any company’s culture to thrive and grow.
