The modern business is connected today like never before – not just externally to customers but internally among co-workers as well. There are huge upsides to that, but also risks if digital communication becomes your only form of collaboration.
Here at Sprinklr we have teams that have shaved off both 95% of their time and of their calculated risk in collaboration by using Sprinklr; by moving their work from a smattering of point solutions (email, spreadsheets, to-do apps) and into Sprinklr’s unified front office workflows.
But…that digital transformation still works best when it’s complemented by workplace fundamentals like face to face communication.
Inside Sales Global Director Seth Ashby recently had some meetings that drove home that reminder. I asked him what his biggest lesson learned was from getting out of the office and into the field at the latest Quarterly Business Review session.

“It’s been some time since I made it to a divisional Quarterly Business Review and heard from the reps just how we are doing. This last week I made it to our South division and realized while we are doing well – we could be doing better.
“Understanding how each account executive thinks, their goals and objectives for the quarter, helps me align my management and Sales Development Rep teams in a way that will make the maximum impact on the quarter.
“To other Inside Sales heads, this is my advice: don’t get stuck in CRM dashboard and hide behind reporting. Get out of the office and into the trenches with the team.”
Simple but refreshingly powerful advice! Measurement, digital connection, and online collaboration are obviously transformative tools. Paired with old fashioned face-to-face conversations, they can be so much more.
